The Lawrence Weaker Sections Welfare Society (LWSWS), Chennamukkapalli is a Non Governmental Voluntary Organization established in the year 2008 and was registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 35 of 2001 on 04th day of January 2008 with bearing Regd. No. 01/2008. It is working in remote areas of Valluru, B.Koduru, Chennur and Khajipeta Mandals of Kadapa District in Andhra Pradesh, India. The Society was also registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 on 25th August 2017 bearing FCRA No. 010160486 and also under ‘Section 12A of Income tax Act 1961. The LWSWS was enrolled in NGO DARPAN and obtained the registration Unique ID :: AP/2017/0157441.

The Society works in one of the mostly backward district of Andhra Pradesh where more than 50% of the population is rural and tribal people who, due to their isolation and lack of awareness, have been cut off from the mainstream of society and deprived of the basic amenities of life. We work in 15 villages in 05 Gram Panchayats of Valluru, Chennur, Khajipeta and B. Kodur Mandals of Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh reaching out to 2600 households. We plan our activities based on analysis of the socio-economic contexts and the community dynamics of the area, with emphasis on community empowerment. Our programmes are unique in the sense as it is basically directed towards involving Community Based Organizations in every aspect including project planning, implementation, monitoring and management.
